This easy, braised tofu dish is great served with steamed rice and vegetables for an easy vegan weeknight meal.
ingredients

3 tablespoons rapeseed oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 good knob root ginger, minced

1 lime

1 tablespoon soy sauce, or to taste

900g (2 lb) firm tofu
preparation method
- Heat oil in a wok or frying pan over medium heat. Stir in garlic and ginger, and cook for 1 minute. Add tofu to the pan with soy sauce, and stir to coat. Cover, and continue cooking for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Squeeze lime juice over tofu before serving.
