A rich gooey chilled cake that you can cut up into biscuit portions. Pure heaven for anyone who loves chocolate! Be patient, for best results - you will need to chill overnight or for at least 8 hours.

ingredients

  • 5 king size Mars bars
  • 2 Twix bars, chopped
  • 125g (4 oz) butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (400g) packet of digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 60g (2 oz) raisins
  • 60g (2 oz) chopped hazelnuts

preparation method

  1.   In a bowl over simmering water, melt the Mars bars. When fairly soft, stir in the melted butter.
  2.   Butter a deep 23cm/9 inch cake tin and coat with finely crushed digestives. Combine remaining crushed digestives with finely chopped Twix bars.
  3.   Stir the eggs into the melted Mars bar mixture. Remove from heat and stir in biscuit mixture, raisins and hazelnuts, until well mixed.
  4.   Pour into prepared dish. Chill 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Turn out onto a serving plate and cut to serve. Keep chilled.
