This is an easy recipe that can be adapted to use many different flavours. Try adding lemon zest or treacle or syrup or dried fruit. It is lighter than the normal suet puddings. As always, serve with warm custard.

A luscious orangy steamed pudding. The tangy flavour of this dessert coupled with custard, makes a perfect ending to a summer dinner! The best part is that you can make the pudding in advance, freeze it for up to 2 months - then thaw and steam it for about 45 mins, until thoroughly hot!

This is a classic recipe that's simple, too. Most of the work is preparing the mussels; cooking takes very little time. Crusty bread is essential for dipping in the buttery wine sauce.
